PATTERN - Sailor Scarf

INFORMATION

A modern classic with a few twists. The scarf is worked in a soft baby merino wool with thin stripes along the way. The shape and size of the Sailor Scarf makes it ideal to use as both a bonnet/balaclava and around the neck.

The scarf is worked from tip to tip, while working an i-cord edge on both sides. Each tip is worked as double knitting before making increases until the widest part is reached. Then you work decreases until finishing off with another section of double knitting.

SIZE AND MEASSUREMENTS

Measured laying flat: ca. 110 cm long, ca. 27 cm at the widest part.

SUGGESTED MATERIALS

1 strand DROPS Baby Merino, main colour, 50 g / ca. 175 m.

1 strand DROPS Baby Merino, stripe colour, 50 g / ca. 175 m.

Total amount of yarn: ca. 80 g of the main colour, and 20 g of the stripe colour.

RECOMMENDED NEEDLES AND GAUGE

- 3 mm needle

Note! Needle size can vary depending on tension - always check your gauge.

Gauge in stockinette on 3 mm needle: 10 x 10 cm = 24 sts x 32 rows.
