Digital Product – Crochet pattern for Sailor Hat

Here is the pattern for the perfect sailor hat!
The sailor hat is crocheted in 100% cotton, making it suitable for year-round wear and adding a nice nautical touch to your outfit.

The hat is worked in the round in a spiral, starting from the top of the head and made in
 one piece without  sewing.

Read through the entire pattern before you begin, so you get an overview of the different steps <3

SIZES AND MEASUREMENTS

The pattern is written for 3 sizes, corresponding to a head circumference of approx.:
52–54 (55–57) 58–60 cm.

You can make the hat bigger or smaller by adding or reducing the number of increase rounds in the first section, where the hat is shaped.

SUGGESTED MATERIALS

- Crochet hook 3 mm.
- strand of 8/4 cotton, e.g. DROPS Egyptian Cotton, Karen Klarbæk Organic Cotton, Mayflower Cotton or similar, in your two chosen colors 

In the pattern, you alternate between rounds of colours. 

I recommend using a hook that is half or one full size smaller than usually recommended for your yarn, so the fabric becomes dense and structured. This helps the hat keep its shape.

Yarn usage with suggested materials: approx. 2 (3) 3 skeins total.
