PATTERN - Bonnet Iver Scarf Hood (Knit version)

With a nod to my favorite band, Bon Iver, here is a lovely knitted bonnet with wide ties that double as a scarf.

Perfect for the cold winter weather and the cool transitional months.

The hood is worked flat in one piece knitting on both the back and front, with shaping done using decreases.

The scarf is then cast on and attached to the hood along the way.

There is no difference between the front and back of the work, other than the striped pattern.

The pattern comes in two sizes: Adult S/M (L/XL)

SUGGESTED MATERIALS & NEEDLES

- 1 strand Mayflower Anyday Basic Wool, 50g = 90 m.

- 4,5 mm knitting needle.

- 1 stitch marker.

- a needle used for seaming and weaving in ends.

Total yarn usage is approx.: 96 (105) g.

If you knit the bonnet in a solid colour you could get away with using two skeins of the yarn for the small size (or a generous two skeins for the bigger size).

Both sizes will need two skeins of the main colour and 1 skein of the stripe colour when knitting according to the pattern.
